Setting up Tax
Under Management, Course,
Select the Course and go to Point of Sale.
Next to Taxes on the left, Click on New.
Fill in your Tax description, (click on) the percentage and the Amount. Save.
Continue adding the tax breakdowns that you require. Example: Alcohol, County, State Sales Tax, Leisure Tax.
Go to Tax Groups and click on New.
Add your description and check off the Taxes to be included in this group. Examples of Tax Groups, might be Alcohol (which could include Alcohol Tax and County Tax), Tax (which could include County Tax and State Tax).
Once completed, Save at the bottom of the page.
Under Inventory, Products, Choose your product, or enter New. Assign your Tax Group to the item. This is the place to assign Department and Categories to the items as well. You can price the item with tax included or not.
On your Daily Report, Summary, you will find the breakdown of the taxes collected.
